The two ends caps are white plastic and fit snugly into the rod. They are removable so you can change out the contents of the curtain rod as often as you like.
Brackets have a projection of 3 1/2". Projection is the distance from the wall to the middle of the curtain rod. They are made from heavy duty 3/4" wide flat bar and have two holes. The brackets each come with two screws for mounting.
